Centre for Research on Family History - CRHF

Founded in 1991 by the General Council of Haut-Rhin, the Centre for Research on Family History, formerly CDHF, is a unique institution dedicated to the study of genealogies and family histories.

It stands out for the wealth of resources available to the public: a varied collection of historical, thematic, and genealogical documentation, as well as a large library specializing in French families.

The center also holds a significant archive collection covering the entire French territory. It offers genealogical research services in civil status records prior to 1892 and parish registers from the Ancien Régime, specifically for the current Haut-Rhin department.
