The Champenay quarry extracts and processes a quartzitic sandstone with remarkable qualities: hardness and low porosity that make it a unique material.

This pink sandstone, also known as the Princes' sandstone, is the hardest among Alsace sandstones.

Its nobility, linked to its ability to be polished, has earned it international recognition among the greatest contemporary architects. Although visible from the outside, this industrial site is not open to the public.
