Christian Barthel Alsace Wines

The Christian Barthel Estate is a family-run business located in Albé, in the heart of Alsace. Spanning 10 hectares of vineyards between Albé and Villé, the estate is committed to organic viticulture that respects nature and the environment.

Its plots, perched on steep slopes, benefit from an exceptional mountain vineyard climate. The soil, mainly composed of gray schist, gives the wines a unique identity.

The estate cultivates a wide variety of grape varieties, except Muscat. Its local specialty, the Pinot Noir “Rouge d’Albé,” embodies the excellence of its wines, which are closely monitored and vinified using modern techniques. The result: distinctive, dry, and fruity wines that reflect the Alsace terroir.

The entire family’s passion is dedicated to every step, from vine cultivation to winemaking, bottling on-site, and direct sales to visitors.
