Claussmann Square and Meyer Street
These places pay tribute to two prominent figures from the town of Uffholtz.
On one hand, Aloyse Claussmann (1850-1926), a renowned musician and composer, served as organist at the Clermont-Ferrand Cathedral and director of the conservatory in the same city.
On the other hand, Bernard Meyer (1830-1884), a local inventor, left a lasting mark with his telegraphic transmission devices, some of which are now exhibited at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts in Paris.
