Climont Temple

This church, built in 1890, was intended to bring together Protestant families from the upper valleys of Villé and Haute-Bruche, where no church existed at the time.

Its funding was partly provided by Augusta Victoria, wife of the German Emperor Wilhelm II, who contributed personally.

The building is part of a rich historical background, marked by the presence of Mennonites and Reformed Protestants in these Vosges valleys.

It also reflects a military and civil history, situated as it is on the former Franco-German border, along the Blue Line of the Vosges.
