Courtavon Pond

Located at the foot of the Alsatian Jura, the Courtavon pond covers nearly 29 hectares, with 17 hectares reserved for catch-and-release fishing.

Managed jointly by an Intercommunal Syndicate of fourteen villages for the leisure area and by the Haut-Rhin fishing federation (68) for fishing activities, this site combines nature and relaxation in a peaceful setting.

Fishing is only allowed with a weekly or annual permit, available from the Haut-Rhin Fishing Federation (03 89 60 64 74 or contact@peche68.fr). Holders of a fishing permit from a Haut-Rhin AAPPMA can fish here thanks to the URNE reciprocity system. Night carp fishing is permitted year-round, with a high density of carp, including fine specimens of common and mirror carp. Fishing from non-motorized boats or float tubes is also allowed, provided other users are respected and the internal regulations, available online, are followed.

In summer, the pond offers various activities: fishing with the appropriate permit, walks around the lake (2.5 km in 30 minutes), or on two marked hiking trails of 4.8 km and 7 km maintained by the Club Vosgien, as well as paddleboarding. A restaurant, Les Deux Barges, with a terrace overlooking the water, offers meals and ice cream.

Accessible to people with reduced mobility, the site has a large parking area at the entrance and is open year-round.
