Daniel Pontoreau's Champ du Feu
The artwork *Champ du Feu*, commissioned by the CEAAC, is set within a discreet Vosges landscape.
It consists of three primitive cast iron shapes arranged at the corners of an imaginary triangle, and five hundred marble particles from Rajasthan scattered in the grass.
The installation, designed specifically for the site, does not reveal itself immediately: it is gradually discovered after crossing the surrounding forest. Daniel Pontoreau, captivated by the place's stripped-down aspect and its evocative name, chose this title for his work. The whole seems naturally integrated into the space, as if it had always been there or placed in a distant, undefined past.
Located on the mountain pasture, not far from the Champ du Feu Tower, this site-specific creation engages in dialogue with the surrounding landscape.
