District Court

In 1857, Mulhouse was granted the status of sub-prefecture and established a court of first instance.

As early as 1858, the idea of a suitable building was considered, but it was not until 1878 that the Landgericht was completed, a building that embodies the influence of the Italian Renaissance on public architecture during the Wilhelmine era.

This inspiration is particularly evident in the court's façade.

Inside, the entrance hall is distinguished by its small domes, while a monumental marble staircase adorns the space and guides visitors to the courtrooms.
