DMC Industrial Site
Officially founded in 1800 in Dornach, the company Dollfus Mieg and Cie (DMC) was born from the marriage between Daniel Dollfus, heir and nephew of the founder Jean-Henri Dollfus, and Anne-Marie Mieg.
The company quickly distinguished itself through two major activities: fabric printing and embroidery thread production.
Over the decades, DMC established itself as one of Europe's largest textile groups, with a global commercial presence.
While part of its facilities remain operational today, most of the historic site, recognized for its exceptional industrial heritage, has ceased operations.
This site is now undergoing a large-scale rehabilitation project, selected as part of the international IBA Basel 2020 program.
