Domaine Frédéric Mochel
Since 1669, the Mochel family has been continuing a winemaking tradition in Traenheim, a village located 20 km west of Strasbourg.
True to their terroir, they personally manage their lands and vineyards using traditional methods, without intermediaries.
The estate covers 10 hectares, half of which is classified as Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten, and the other half under the Alsace Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée.
The six Alsatian grape varieties are cultivated here:
- Pinot Blanc,
- Riesling,
- Muscat,
- Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Noir.
The grapes are hand-harvested, then the wines are vinified and aged in oak casks to preserve their distinct character. An invitation to discover authentic wines born from a passion passed down through generations.
