Domaine Robert Roth
In Soultz, a small village nestled at the southern gateway to the Alsace vineyard, the Roth family has been carrying on a winemaking tradition rooted in demanding terroirs for generations.
On the hills with sandstone and limestone soils stretching at the foot of the Grand Ballon, five historic named plots unfold: Mittelbourg, Orschwillerbourg, Hornstein, Binsbourg, and the Grand Cru Ollwiller. These parcels, cultivated with passion, produce wines of great character, known for their structure, precision, and ability to elegantly and enduringly accompany gastronomy.
The estate's history dates back to the late 1940s when Victor Roth bottled his first vintage. In the 1960s, his son Robert took over, and today the third and fourth generations – Patrick, Christophe, Victor, and Charlotte – continue this legacy.
Their approach combines exacting standards, rigor, and sensitivity, both in vineyard work and winemaking. In the cellar, they favor a natural approach, respectful of cycles and balances, to reveal the purity of the fruit and the authentic expression of each terroir.
The result? Wines of place, healthy and whole, embodying the soul of Alsatian soils and the Roth family's pursuit of excellence.
