Domaine STENTZ Aimé
For five generations, the Stentz family has passionately cultivated their vineyards to express the full richness of their terroirs. Located around Wettolsheim, the estate has been practicing organic farming since 2010 on 14 hectares. Among its plots, two named sites and five Grand Crus stand out, showcasing the diversity and quality of Alsatian soils. Marc Stentz, grandson of Aimé, has been continuing this family tradition since the 2010s, relying on environmentally respectful methods.
The estate is notable for a historical feature: the Clos du Vicus Romain. This site houses Roman ruins discovered in 1959 on the Grand Cru Hengst, offering a fascinating link between past and present.
For tasting, the house offers notably a Gewurztraminer Cuvée de la Première Neige, a sweet cuvée enjoyed as an aperitif, with foie gras accompanied by fig chutney, or alongside a dessert.
