Duppigheim
About fifteen kilometers west of Strasbourg and near the airport, this originally agricultural village experienced economic growth in the 1970s.
Its architectural heritage reflects its history: the Saint-Arbogast Church, built between 1765 and 1846 around a probably Roman bell tower-porch, houses a Stiehr and Mockers organ (1818-1819) with an Empire-style oak case adorned with openwork reliefs featuring fantastic imagery, which has been preserved.
The former synagogue from 1876, recognizable by its horseshoe-arched windows, now serves as the fire station. At the village entrance, a stele commemorates Jean Bugatti, who died in 1939 during road tests.
The village benefits from convenient transport infrastructure: bike path, train station, and highway access.
