Eguisheim

Eguisheim is a must-visit stop during a trip to Alsace.

Located just south of Colmar, this medieval village has been recognized as "One of the Most Beautiful Villages of France" since 2003.

In 2013, it also won the title of "Favorite Village of the French" on the France 2 show hosted by Stéphane Bern.

With its well-preserved architecture and urban layout organized in concentric circles around its castle, Eguisheim offers a journey back in time. The village charms visitors with its modest size, abundant summer blooms, and authenticity, especially during Christmas festivities when the Christmas market comes alive with events.

Strolling through its streets, you will discover fountains, colonnaded courtyards, and a church housing a 13th-century "Opening Virgin" statue. The colorful houses, adorned with ancient inscriptions on the door lintels, add to the richness of this living heritage.
