Alsace is a renowned wine region in northeastern France, famous for its white wines with powerful and fruity aromas.
Typical grape varieties include Riesling, fresh and mineral; Gewurztraminer, with exotic and spicy notes; and Pinot Gris, round and generous.
The region also produces sparkling wines, Crémants d'Alsace, made using the traditional method. Grands Crus, such as Kaefferkopf, are exceptional wines from specific plots and noble grape varieties.
Lastly, Vendanges Tardives are sweet wines made from very ripe grapes, offering concentrated flavors and characteristic sweetness.
