Elephant Statue

To honor the memory of Rembrandt Bugatti, brother of the famous manufacturer Ettore Bugatti, artist Joël Vallon created an imposing sculpture titled "The Elephant."

Standing 3.7 meters tall, this work depicts an elephant rearing on its hind legs, directly inspired by the radiator cap of the same name, originally designed for the seven Bugatti Royale vehicles.

Made of reinforced iron, the statue required 180 hours of meticulous work. It rests on a circular base 1.3 meters in diameter.

Donated by Joan Beaufort, a native of Molsheim, this majestic sculpture now stands in front of the Hostellerie du Pur-Sang in the same town.
