Ernewein-Haas Pottery
For several generations, the Ernewein-Haas family, master potters, have been shaping the clay from the Haguenau Forest by preserving ancestral methods.
Their pottery, mostly hand-thrown, combines tradition and modernity: you can admire pieces with traditional decorations as well as an original collection in bright colors, created by Jean-Louis and Harmonie Begon, a graduate of the Strasbourg School of Decorative Arts.
To capture your visit, a specially arranged wheel outside the pottery awaits you: a unique opportunity to take a photo in an artisanal setting.
The shop is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., as well as Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The workshop offers self-guided visits Monday to Friday. Guided tours in French, German, or English are organized by reservation for groups of 10 to 60 people (€2 per person) from Monday to Saturday morning. School groups are also welcomed. Finally, workshops can be arranged by appointment, with dates to be agreed upon in advance.
