Ferrette Castle Picnic Area

Perched on its rocky spur, Ferrette Castle invites you to a timeless escape. Its majestic ruins, bathed in the golden light of dusk, provide an idyllic setting for a romantic picnic. The first foothills of the Alsatian Jura stretch as far as the eye can see, adding a touch of magic to this shared moment.

Families are also welcome: children can freely explore the site, imagining themselves as knights, princesses, or the last counts of Ferrette, in a setting perfect for children's play. Two picnic tables, each seating six people, are installed on the lower castle. To enhance your meal, fires can be lit in two designated spots, provided you bring your own grill and secure it with stones.
