Fischboedle Lake
Perched at 794 meters above the Wormsa valley, the Fischboedle Lake is the smallest of the Vosges lakes, covering only 0.5 hectares. Its alpine character is highlighted by a scree slope that flows into its waters, giving it a unique charm. Dammed in the early 19th century, the lake was intended both to support the low water flow of the Fecht River and to serve as a fishing spot. Today, a small gazebo installed by the Vosgien Club of the Munster Valley welcomes hikers after a 30 to 40-minute walk from the Wormsa chalets in Metzeral. Vehicle access to the site remains strictly prohibited.
