Fishing at Lake Fischboedle

This lake, one of the smallest in the Vosges, was created by a dam in the early 19th century. Its original purpose was twofold: to support the low water flow of the Fecht River and to provide a pleasant fishing spot. Covering only 0.5 hectares, it is known for its peaceful setting and fish-rich waters. The site is mainly inhabited by brown trout, char, and brook trout, attracting fishing enthusiasts. Access requires a 30 to 40-minute walk from the Wormsa chalets in Metzeral. Vehicle access is strictly prohibited, preserving the tranquility of the area.
