Fishing at the Neuweiher Lakes
Perched at 825 meters above sea level, near the shores of Lake Perches, the Grand and Petit Neuweiher are two fishing ponds classified as first category. Subject to the Fishing Law regulations, these waters allow the capture of four salmonids and two carp per day. Brown trout, lake trout, Arctic char, brook trout, and bull trout inhabit these waters. Anglers may use up to two rods simultaneously.
A fishing permit is mandatory here: options include a day, a consecutive week, or a full year. Fishing licenses are available online at www.cartedepeche.fr, as well as at the Masevaux-Niederbruck Tourist Office and the tobacco-PMU shop in the same town.
Access to the ponds is on foot only, from the village of Rimbach-près-Masevaux, after about an hour's walk.
