Fishing in the Doller

The Doller, a 30-kilometer river, is a paradise for anglers thanks to its first-category fishing areas governed by fishing laws. Enthusiasts can catch up to four salmonids and two carp, with the obligation to release carp weighing more than three kilograms.

Local strains of brown trout inhabit these waters. Fishing is done with a single rod, no weighted line allowed, and a single hook. Fishing permits are available online at www.cartepeche.fr, as well as at the Masevaux Tourist Office and the PMU tobacco and press shop in the same town. Several fishing spots are accessible: in Oberbruck along the airfield to the stadium, only on the roadside; and in Masevaux, Sickert, and Niederbruck, where the route starts in Masevaux and ends in Niederbruck at the copper factory threshold. An urban No-Kill fishing area is also set up between the Town Hall bridge and the Church bridge in Masevaux, where current regulations must be strictly followed.
