Fishing: Nonnenbruch Ponds

Just six kilometers east of Thann, heading towards Mulhouse, within the territory of the commune of Cernay, lie two bodies of water formed from former gravel pits. The Upper Nonnenbruch, covering ten hectares, and the Lower Nonnenbruch, spanning six hectares and twenty-nine ares, provide a natural setting ideal for fishing and relaxation. These waters host a diverse fish population, including carp, tench, roach, pike, perch, zander, and sturgeon.

Fishing is regulated: the use of a pike line with live bait is allowed during the fishing season on site.

Additionally, lure fishing is permitted in April.
