Former Bischwiller Courthouse
Built in 1899, the Bischwiller courthouse stands out for its imposing architecture, inspired by the small German imperial palaces characteristic of the Wilhelminian style.
This building, which also recalls the aesthetics of barracks from the era, reflects the architectural influence of the German Empire in Alsace. At the back of the building was once a prison.
However, in 1950, the courthouse services permanently left Bischwiller to move to Haguenau, thus ending nearly fifty years of judicial activity on site.
