Fortwenger

In the heart of Alsace, where artisanal traditions have flourished for centuries, the Fortwenger house embodies the blend of heritage and modernity. Founded in the 18th century in Gertwiler, this family business has managed to endure through the ages while constantly renewing itself. Since 1977, it has been led by the Risch family, who uphold a demanding artisanal know-how while fostering innovation and local roots.

Today, Fortwenger stands as the leading producer of gingerbread in France, a success built on the authenticity and quality of its recipes. But its ambition doesn't stop there: the company explores new gourmet horizons, diversifying its offerings with products such as chocolates, biscuits, and fine groceries. It also offers a range of souvenirs to extend visitors' experience.

In 2012, Fortwenger strengthened its industrial presence by establishing a production unit dedicated to bredlas, these small assorted biscuits, in the La Passerelle Business Park in Ensisheim.
