François RUNNER and Sons Wines

Located just 12 kilometers south of Colmar, the village of Pfaffenheim enjoys a microclimate particularly favorable to vine cultivation. With maximum sunshine and one of the lowest rainfall levels in France, this terroir offers ideal conditions for wine production. Its clay-limestone soil, renowned for its quality, is a prime ground for the region's great vineyards.

The history of the Pfaffenheim winery dates back to 1942, when Clément Runner founded a 4-hectare estate. In 1976, his son François took over the operation with the same passion and commitment to quality.

Under his leadership, the vineyard gradually expanded to 7.5 hectares by 1980. Today, Francis-Claude, François's son, continues the family tradition by joining the business.

With an estate now covering 12 hectares, the Runner family skillfully combines innovation and love of the craft, thus perpetuating a quality winemaking heritage.
