François WECK Estate
Since 1696, the Weck family has been preserving a winemaking expertise passed down through generations.
Located in the heart of the Alsace vineyard, 12 km south of Colmar, the François Weck and Sons estate covers 14 hectares of vines spread across several communes: Gueberschwihr, Pfaffenheim, Westhalten, Hattstatt, Herrlisheim, Ingersheim, and Ammerschwihr.
These plots, with varied characteristics, allow the exploitation of different terroirs' strengths to produce wines with diverse profiles.
Committed to an ecological approach, the Wecks have been producing their wines under the organic label since 2014. Their approach is based on gentle cultivation techniques: alternating between grass cover and plowing, eliminating chemical weeding since 2009, and manual trellising to limit tractor use. The reusable trellis wires thus avoid waste production. Harvesting is entirely manual, and vinification follows traditional methods to preserve the unique expression of each grape variety and its terroir.
