Furnished Tourist Accommodation Au jardin d'Emilie - Ground Floor
This three-star rated holiday rental, Au jardin d'Émilie, is a 90 m² single-story space designed to accommodate two to four people. Nestled in the Alsatian village of Sundhouse in central Alsace, it is just 500 meters from the Rhône-Rhine canal, bordered by a bike path and hiking trails. The village center, with shops (supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, butcher, restaurants, and bars), is a five-minute walk away. Europa Park in Rust, Germany, is 20 km away, offering a fun nearby getaway.
The rental is located in an 18th-century farmhouse, fully renovated and enhanced by a beautiful garden. To preserve its authenticity, the house was dismantled and rebuilt twice, 10 km from Sundhouse. Typically Alsatian, it has an independent east-facing entrance opening onto a flowered area where a garden lounge and barbecue invite relaxation.
In good weather, guests can enjoy a large terrace overlooking green spaces, a swimming pool, or simply a well-deserved rest. The interior, bathed in soft colors and varied textures, subtly blends tradition and whimsy. Natural materials like wood, wicker, cotton, and linen, along with carefully chosen decor, evoke the surrounding nature and the serenity it inspires. Each object tells a story and contributes to the harmony of the place.
The south-facing kitchen opens onto the living room, where a work table that belonged to Élyane's grandfather, a former clog maker, takes pride of place. Two spacious bedrooms, a shower room, and toilets complete the space. The owners share their passion for vintage cars in an adjoining barn, where models like the B2, 202, or 201 are displayed.
The rental provides bed and household linen, cleaning products, baby equipment, and parking in a closed courtyard.
Whether as a couple, family, or friends, on foot, by bike, boat, or canoe, everyone finds their happiness here. The region, rich in Alsatian traditions and gastronomy, invites guests to savor the local pace. The Ried plain, with its natural and cultural heritage, offers varied activities, unusual visits, and local products, not to mention Alsace's must-sees: typical villages, art and history towns, castles, wine routes, amusement and animal parks.
