G. Wehrling Pottery and Daughter
Founded in the early 1980s, this Alsatian artisanal workshop preserves traditional pottery skills while embracing modernity. Since 2002, Peggy has taken over its management, developing creations where utility meets emotion. Her pieces, designed for everyday use, tell stories and evoke memories through sometimes forgotten shapes, revisited with contemporary colors. For example, her terrines for potée, inspired by old models, are adorned with current hues, while her kougelhopf molds adapt to seasons and festivities, as tradition dictates. Peggy also innovates, as shown by her skull-shaped kougelhopf mold, demonstrating openness to new creations. The workshop offers introductory courses from age 11, with a maximum of five participants. To participate or get more information, visit www.poterie-wehrling.fr. However, free or guided visits of the workshop are not possible.
