Gallo-Roman Museum
Since 1990, housed in a contemporary building called the Capitole, this site museum showcases an exceptional archaeological heritage. It exclusively holds collections from a large Gallo-Roman settlement located north of the commune, precisely on the site of the former medieval village of Oedenburg, destroyed during the Thirty Years' War.
The museum offers a journey through Gallo-Roman civilization and the military history of the Oedenburg site.
Its permanent collections, enriched by archaeological excavations and old chance discoveries, provide a comprehensive overview of this era. The museographic route, organized into four thematic areas, is complemented by numerous explanatory panels that guide visitors and illuminate the various aspects of the collections.
