Garden of Dreams

"As children, we dreamed; as adults, we created." This private 1-hectare garden, designed by a passionate duo, combines travel inspirations, botanical diversity, and an intimate atmosphere. Set on a hilly plot around an Anglo-Norman house, it plays on contrasts between formal scenes and wilder spaces. From the entrance, a Tuscan ambiance prevails, punctuated by collections of rare plants: rhododendrons, Chinese azaleas, Japanese maples, English-style undergrowth, and a century-old forest of Taxodium distichum. A medieval-inspired "Giardino Segreto" gathers aromatics, perennials, and roses, offering a secret escape at the heart of the garden. The fauna is particularly rich thanks to a preserved ecosystem: birds (LPO refuge), squirrels, bats, newts, ornamental ducks, and several frog species, including the tree frog. This place was awarded the 1st national SNHF Bonpland prize in 2010, the "Remarkable Garden" label in 2012, and represented Alsace in Stéphane Bern's TV show *Le Jardin préféré des Français* in 2013, ranking 5th out of 22 regions. It enjoys regular media coverage in France and internationally. Visits are possible year-round, with a preference for spring and autumn seasons. Guided tours are organized by appointment for groups of 15 to 55 people. Access remains difficult for wheelchairs and strollers, but small dogs on a leash are allowed.
