General de Gaulle Square
General de Gaulle Square was completely redesigned in 2022 to open directly onto the banks of the Rhône-Rhine Canal. This new space invites relaxation while paying tribute to local history.
Notably, it features a commemorative monument dedicated to the First Armored Division, as well as a bronze sculpture depicting a broken chain. This powerful symbol evokes Free France and the Resistance, recalling the courageous role played during World War II.
A place for walking and resting, this square combines scenic charm with collective memory.
