German Military Cemetery of the Uhlans

This German military cemetery from World War I is set deep in the forest within the commune of Hartmannswiller. A few minutes' walk from the Zeller canteen, a mountain refuge, it occupies the east side of the Hartmannswillerkopf battlefield. The site contains 36 graves, bordered by a rubble stone wall. Surrounded by tall trees, this memorial site offers a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere in the heart of nature.
