Gloeckelsberg Arboretum

Perched on a hillside, the Gloeckelsberg Arboretum offers a peaceful and enriching escape.

Accessible via the Piste des Forts, this site invites visitors to stroll through preserved nature, where cherry trees recall the site's military past.

During World War II, the Cerisiers battery was installed here, but today, trees have replaced the cannons, providing a tranquil setting for relaxation.

Since 1990, the arboretum has hosted a wide variety of local tree species, creating a rich ecosystem that attracts diverse wildlife: birds, insects, reptiles, and small mammals are regularly observed.

To top it off, a climb to the hilltop reveals a 360° panorama encompassing both the Kochersberg landscapes and the Strasbourg urban area.
