Gluck Park

The history of the Gluck factory began in 1838 when this wool spinning mill became the first of its kind in Alsace, located in Mulhouse. In 1867, it settled permanently on its current site.

Among the remnants from that era, the 1932 chimney, now without industrial function, remains the oldest structure on the site. The 1944 bombings almost completely destroyed the buildings, but after the war, new concrete sheds were built and adapted over the years. The city of Mulhouse bought the site in 1977 in hopes of saving the business, which permanently ceased operations in 1983.

Since then, the site has undergone careful redevelopment, transforming this industrial heritage into a contemporary space.
