Grand'rue Library
Open since 1905 in its current premises, the Grand'rue Library is the oldest library in Mulhouse. A place of culture and discovery, it invites both young and old to explore its collections in a calm and inspiring atmosphere, perfect for reading, learning, or simply relaxing.
Its rich collection of over 60,000 documents covers all tastes: novels, comics, manga, documentaries, books in foreign languages, magazines, and even CDs. A youth area specially designed welcomes children and teenagers, with a corner reserved for toddlers taking their first steps in reading.
For work or research needs, the library provides public access computers, individual or group rooms, as well as spaces dedicated to exhibitions and events. History and heritage enthusiasts can consult old and valuable documents in a room reserved for this purpose.
To end your visit gently, the sunlit patio offers an ideal setting to continue your reading in complete tranquility.
