Grand Wintersberg Panoramic Tower
Perched at 581 meters above sea level, at the highest point of the Northern Vosges, the Champ du Feu tower dominates the landscape. Built between 1889 and 1890 by the Club Vosgien, it rises 25 meters above the ground and offers an exceptional panoramic view of the Northern Vosges massif, the Black Forest, and the neighboring Palatinate.
On clear days, the view extends to Strasbourg Cathedral, more than 60 kilometers away.
This site is also a favored starting point for many hiking trails, inviting exploration of the surrounding scenery. Slightly lower down, at the Liese Pass, the Club Vosgien chalet welcomes visitors every Sunday and public holiday, offering a refreshment bar and light meals for a well-deserved break.
