Guardhouse

Built near the Sainte-Agathe church at the very beginning of the 19th century, this modest building played a notable role in local history through its various functions.

It primarily housed the night watchman, responsible for monitoring the streets and surroundings during the dark hours. Occasionally, it also served as a sobering cell for the imprudent or as temporary shelter for travelers passing between neighboring villages.

Its simple architecture and strategic location made it a discreet yet essential place in the community life of the time.
