Guardhouse
Originally, this elegant house was built in 1700 for a cooper.
Its wooden oriel still bears traces of its past: a cartouche displays the profession's emblematic tools, the mallet and the hoops, as well as the initials of the first owners.
Classified as a historic monument in 1924, the house stands out for its timber-framed architecture typical of the period.
Its Renaissance decorations, such as scales, plant motifs, and acanthus leaves, show particular attention to its aesthetic.
In 1854, the municipality acquired it, then adapted it in 1861 to serve as the guardhouse, the seat of the night watchman and later the usher. Today, this historic building is only open for exterior viewing.
