Guémar
Perched at 180 meters above sea level, this plain village lies 5 km below the famous Wine Route. With 1,324 inhabitants, it combines rural charm with proximity to major roads, making it easy to explore Alsace's treasures. The village offers various shops for daily needs, a hotel, guest rooms, and furnished apartments, providing accommodation suited to all travelers.
Away from the center, La Canardière enchants with its peaceful pond and botanical trail, perfect for a bucolic walk. The village's architectural heritage is also worth a visit: the High Gate from the 14th century, the ramparts with four defensive towers, and the Saint-Léger Catholic Church, recognizable by its Romanesque bell tower, all testify to a rich and well-preserved history.
Every late August, the village comes alive during the Ham Festival, a friendly event not to be missed to discover local traditions.
