Hatten

The village of Hatten bears the marks of history, visible through the Esch Infantry Casemate and the Arbi Museum, housed in a former bunker.

The latter recounts the hardships endured by the community during World War II, notably its near destruction in January 1945 during Operation Nordwind, carried out by the Germans to retake Strasbourg. Unique in Alsace, the La Cour de Marie agricultural museum reflects over a century of history of the Agricultural Cooperative.

It also offers a shop showcasing local products. Hatten is also distinguished by its festive events: every year at Christmas, the village square lights up and a nativity trail invites discovery. The village streets also feature several wooden statues carved by Raymond Keller. For an immersion in nature, a 1.3 km poetry and botanical trail allows observation of the main species of the local forest.
