Henri Loux Space Traditional Alsatian Tableware
The town of Gerstheim has set up a museum space entirely dedicated to the tableware of Henri Loux, a renowned Alsatian artist famous for his illustrations of the famous Obernai service.
His works, mainly paintings and watercolors, depict rural and village scenes typical of Alsace around 1900. About 150 pieces of tableware are displayed in five showcases, some of which are rare or unique. To enhance the visit, French audio guides allow visitors to explore the exhibition by following in Henri Loux's footsteps and appreciating all the details.
