Hilfskapelle Chapel
After the construction of the Saint-Gilles church, the faithful had to climb the hill to attend services during the week or in winter.
To address this difficulty, a solution was considered: converting the barn next to the presbytery into a temporary place of worship.
Thus, in 1867, an emergency chapel named Hilfskapelle was set up there.
This new space allowed parishioners to attend religious ceremonies without having to climb the hill, especially when weather conditions made the journey more difficult.
