Hospital Center Park
This psychiatric hospital, whose construction began in 1906 under the direction of architect Hermann Graf, is distinguished by its original architecture.
It resembles more a pavilion village than a traditional medical facility.
The buildings are scattered within a vast 23-hectare park, whose winding paths evoke the branches of the human brain.
A botanical walk invites visitors to discover the local flora, composed of trees, conifers, and flowering shrubs, including several rare species and palm trees over fifty years old.
This protected site also holds the status of a bird sanctuary, granted by the Bird Protection League.
Within the grounds, the hospital chapel draws attention with its unique design: it consists of two separate parts, each with its own sacristy, one dedicated to the Catholic faith, the other to the Protestant faith.
