House of Citizenship

In 2002, the Kingersheim town hall chose to save the Schurch farm, the only building to have survived the Thirty Years' War in the town and threatened with destruction.

Rather than letting it disappear, they opted for a bold solution: to dismantle the farm and rebuild it identically, while establishing the House of Citizenship there. Today, this project stands as both an architectural and heritage success.

The building, both modern and respectful of local history, preserves the village's spirit while providing a space dedicated to civic life.
