House of the Knights of St. John

This residence is distinguished by architecture inspired by Venetian palaces, featuring an elegant gallery of rounded arches spread over two floors. These arches, topped with a stone balustrade, connect two buildings and open on one side to the street and on the other to an inner courtyard. Although it is actually a 19th-century reconstruction, its original elements likely date back to 1608, when architect Albert Schmidt, also the master builder of the Maison des Têtes and the Maison des Arcades, designed it. Contrary to popular belief, this property never belonged to the Knights of St. John, and the name "House of the Knights of St. John" has no historical basis.
