House of the Pagans and Garden of the Pagans
Built in 1534 in the Renaissance style, this house is the only surviving building of its kind in Alsace. Its basement contains remains that attest to a Gallo-Roman occupation, which is why it is called the House of the Pagans. Some visitors mention a special atmosphere, filled with telluric waves believed to have soothing effects on the soul, while others simply perceive a serene and mysterious ambiance.
Behind the town hall of La Petite Pierre, a discreet path located between the city hall and the pharmacy leads to this exceptional place. The Garden of the Pagans, a true hidden gem, unfolds in terraces suspended above the void. Designed as a labyrinth of small paths and stone stairs, it invites careful exploration and total immersion in nature. Perfect for contemplation, this garden offers striking views and an atmosphere conducive to reflection.
