Huss Inn and Farm

Since 1942, the Schickel family has been running their farm in Huss, open annually from May to October.

Christophe Schickel and Sarah continue the Marcaire tradition by welcoming guests in two typical dining rooms of the Hautes-Vosges.

Their farm houses about twenty Vosgian dairy cows, whose milk is used to craft artisanal cheeses using ancestral methods.

The cheeses are made in a copper cauldron heated over a wood fire, then aged traditionally. Two varieties are offered: Bargkas, a cooked cheese, and Kas, a soft cheese. A Marcaire meal served on-site allows visitors to discover these local specialties while enjoying a warm and authentic atmosphere.

For 2025, the meal is priced at €23.50. Reservations are mandatory and can be made by phone at 03 89 82 27 20.
