Hydroelectric Power Plant
Commissioned in 1959, the Vogelgrun hydroelectric power plant is the fourth and final facility built on the Grand Canal of Alsace.
Located in the heart of the Alsace plain, it serves as a strategic point for both electrical and road networks, notably facilitating exchanges with neighboring Germany.
Equipped with four turbine units, the plant has a total capacity of 140 megawatts, significantly contributing to renewable energy production in the region.
