Hydroelectric Power Plant

Inaugurated in 1956, this hydroelectric power plant had an installed capacity of 180 MW, making it the largest among the ten similar facilities along the Franco-German Rhine.

Managed by EDF within the Eastern Production Unit, it operated until its final shutdown in 2020. Since then, the site has entered a pre-dismantling phase.

The decree authorizing the start of actual demolition operations is expected in 2026.
